Porter Ricks, DILF

What is it about Dads that turns us on? Is it that the young children hanging on their arms and legs are living proof of their virility? Do we key into their paternal instinct, longing to shrink down and be enfolded in their fatherly strength?

My nomination for sexiest TV dad of all time is Porter Ricks, the father on Flipper, played by Brian Kelly. It used to be his elder son, Sandy, the blond boy-siren played by Luke Halpin, who enflamed my elementary school lust. But when Flipper came out on DVD, my grown-up passions went right for Dad.



Athletic, loving, and oh so very hot, Porter Ricks is my #1 DILF. Luckily, Flipper is an undersea adventure, taking place in steamy Florida, so there is ample opportunity to enjoy Porter stripped down to his swim trunks, displaying plenty of paternal muscle and dark body hair.











And underneath all the big beef, his character, a widower, exudes a deep and lonely sadness that makes him all the more sensitive... and all the sexier.



Am I too old to be adopted?

    Rob, yes definitely Hugh Beaumont. And before "Beaver" he appeared in several Noir and detective films in which he played somewhat darker characters and was sexy as hell. The link you provided brings this out, along with a couple of knock-out pics. Thanks.

    That guy was hot, i had a big crush on him and i didn't want to miss one episode just to look at him. One daddy that i love was Burt Reynolds, very sexy man.

    I was a big fan of that guy (Brian Kelly), he was a sexy man at that time. I'm a big fan of Rob and yo too but you are younger than me so, you're not daddies to me but really good friends. One that i love was Robert Conrad, in wild wild west, sexy man.

    Hi Jim, I didn't know Carl Betz so I just looked him up - you're right, he was hot. And Bill Bixby - great addition - I had a crush on him, because he reminded me of an uncle of mine (who I admit I also had a crush on)

    The Chandler/Kelly comparison had occurred to me too. If you get a chance to watch "Friday Night Lights," you'll fall for Chandler. I think there's one more episode that hasn't aired. Will probably be on Friday evening on NBC.

I have just "discovered" your blog and look forward to new posts and to making my way through your archives. And, coincidentally enough, I am also making my way through Friday Night Lights on Netflix. I think the Kyle Chandler / Brian Kelly comparison is apt - and it sure does provoke a fantasy of the two of them rolling around together. Ahhhhhhhh.......

    Love the pictures of hairy muscle dad Brian Kelly. He always got to me everytime I watched "Flipper". I never cared about the dolphin. I loved Daddy!
